Men in court over £75,000 alcopops theft and kidnapping

FIVE men, including three from Bolton, have appeared in court charged in connection with kidnapping a lorry driver and stealing £75,000 worth of alcopops in his vehicle. The men appeared at Leicester Crown Court in connection with an incident in Leicestershire. Three of the men were charged with robbery, kidnapping, false imprisonment and arson, while another two were charged with handling stolen goods. Mark Norris, aged 36, of Elgin Street, Halliwell, Bolton, denied charges of robbery, kidnap and false imprisonment. David Norris, aged 53, of Parkfield Road, Great Lever, and David Young, aged 47, of Hough Lane, Bromley Cross, both denied a charge of handling stolen goods. Judge Michael Stokes QC remanded Royal and Catterall in custody, while the other three were granted conditional bail. All are due to reappear before a judge at Leicester Crown Court on November 1.  more...
