Shoppers urged to park and ride

EASTER holiday shoppers thinking of travelling to Preston this weekend are being encouraged to try one of the city's Park and Ride facilities.
There are 1,200 parking spaces available at the county council's Walton-le-Dale and Portway sites.
Visitors can take advantage of free CCTV covered parking and travel direct to the city centre on one of the regular buses for as little as 70p return.
This is the first time that the park and rides have opened on a bank holiday .
