Finance firm is top of the pile

A Bolton-based firm specialising in financial advice for Muslims won two awards for outstanding achievement from the North West Society of Chartered Accountants.

1st Ethical were named New Business of the Year and also received the Judges' Special Award at the Society's 40th anniversary dinner.

Sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland, the awards were made to firms and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to enterprise in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Formed in Bolton three years ago, the company now has offices covering London, Yorkshire and the Midlands, and there are plans for another two offices in Scotland and the South West.
